  • Tamaki Marine Park are an innovative company who are passionate about boating & providing excellent customer service to our clients. We operate a busy Dry Stack, Boat Yard and Marina on the Tamaki River in Mt Wellington.

    The services offered at our site include the storage and haulout of boats onto the hard stand with heavy lift trailers and forklifts. Along with the maintenance and upkeep of the machinery, there is also the need for the fabrication of boatyard equipment and projects around the site.

    We are now looking to expand and require a Boatyard & Marina Maintenance Engineer to join our vibrant and friendly team.

    • Opportunity to work on a variety of marine equipment and machinery, including marine forklifts, tractor units, boats, and boat haulout trailers
    We are looking for someone with previous hands-on mechanical, engineering, and fitting experience. This role would suit a mature individual or perhaps even a semi-retired engineer or similar.

    Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
    • Maintain all machinery as required in Service Manuals and general maintenance and upgrades.
    • Fabrication of boat yard stands and equipment.
    • Attend to all yard and building maintenance requirements as directed.
    • Ensure workspace, yard, buildings, and marinas are kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
    • Advise the Site Manager of any safety or maintenance issues.
    • Assist with boat lift and haulout operations as required.
    This role does not necessarily involve working on boats.

    To succeed in this role you will need to have a can-do attitude and good hand-eye coordination. You will also be able to work autonomously and take initiative.
