An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Automotive Technician - Foreman to join the team at Mad Campers. This is a full-time role working a minimum 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with some weekend work required. You will play a key leadership role overseeing the servicing, upkeep and maintenance of our campervan and trailer fleet.
What you'll be doing:- Oversee and coordinate the work of the automotive technician team
- Diagnose and repair faults across a variety of makes and models both diesel and petrol
- Schedule & perform servicing and maintenance to the highest standard
- Provide guidance to other technicians
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain detailed records
- Assist with the ordering of parts and materials as required
- Drive vehicles between repair or inspection locations
- Assist with vehicle check overs before they commence a new hire
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
What we're looking for:- Qualified automotive technician with at least 5 years experience in both petrol and diesel vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Up-to-date technical knowledge and a commitment to ongoing training
- Administration skills with experience in fleet maintenance systems
- Full Class 1 Drivers License
- Ability to drive manual vehicles
The role is based at Mad Campers Auckland office, however you may be required to travel from time to time.
A salary of $70,000 - $75,000 will be offered to the successful candidate aligned with skills and experience.
