Sonoco is a global provider of consumer packaging, industrial products, protective packaging and packaging supply chain services. Our Christchurch plant is responsible for paper converting including tubes and cores, counter reels and sheeting and are a great business to work for.
We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team at our manufacturing site in Wigram, Christchurch. You will be reliable, safety focused and have a good eye for detail. Ideally you will have experience in a manufacturing or factory environment and be strong technically, mechanical aptitude would be highly regarded.
In this role you will be responsible for:- Machine operation; ensuring that our product is made to the correct specifications and within the required timeframes
- Some machine setting may be required
- Replenishing materials
- Following standard operating procedures
- Checking for quality
