We are looking for an experienced CNC programmer with an engineering background to join our well established and reputable company located in East Tamaki, Auckland.
We are New Zealand's largest CNC machining jobbing shop with over 50 CNC milling machines and lathes, including but not limited to Mazak, Doosan, Haas and Hyundai machines.
We manufacture precision parts for a diverse range of hi-tech industries locally and overseas. Products are manufactured from standard free machining carbon steels, plastics, through to exotic materials such as titanium. No two jobs are the same and every day presents a new and exciting challenge.
What You'll Be Doing:- Generating programmes primarily for 2 axis and Mill - Turn lathes and assisting with 3/4/5 axes Mills, using SolidCam.
- Ensuring the machinery is programmed for efficiency and safety.
- Ensuring our high-quality standards are achieved through programming methods.
- Handle prototypes, small batch runs and full-scale production.
- Working alongside our team of experienced and knowledgeable setters and operators and also liaising with customers.

Ideal Candidate will have experience and expertise in the following areas:- 3/4/5 axes milling, 2 axis and Mill - Turn lathes.
- SolidCam and SolidWorks.
- Programming languages, especially G codes.
- Reading and understanding complex technical drawings.
- Proficiency with a variety of controllers, including Fanuc, Siemens and Mazatrol
- The understanding of tooling selection, cutting strategies and work holding methods.
- A commitment to quality and safety in manufacturing.
- Communication skills
