Davey Ltd Auckland is searching for an Automotive Panel Beater to join our team.

This role is suited to a dependable, honest, self-motivated, solutions-focused individual, who has the ability to comply with instructions in written, oral, and schedule form. Panel beaters must read and comprehend manuals, inspection checklists, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and other work-related information.
Your responsibilities will include:- Showcase and demonstrate vehicle features, providing information on specifications and benefits
- Remove and replace parts to access repairs, or to allow for painting
- Align and reshaping damaged panels and frames
- Carry out structural repairs using a chassis machine and 3D measuring equipment
- Replace sections of vehicles and weld in replacements following manufacturer's instructions
- Replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
- Filling depressions with plastic filer, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces
- Cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment
- Fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refitting body hardware such as door locks and trims
The candidate must be physically fit and able to hear coworkers, see up close and far away, perceive colour and depth, and have ability to focus. Panel beaters may be required to stand or walk on uneven ground and ascend and descend rail cars or ladders, all of which requires stamina and endurance.
Requirements:- Proven experience in Panel beating or a related field.
