Here at The Gartshore Group, we have an exciting position for a Junior Project Manager to join our team in Auckland, delivering high-spec interior fit-outs and bespoke joinery to the commercial and retail sector throughout New Zealand. This is a varied role which requires a strong leader. As Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and Senior Project Manager managing all day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple and large-scale projects. This will include liaising with the client, subcontractors, factory and installation staff to ensure a coordinated approach to the projects. Day-to-day project management duties will include managing staff and subcontractors, informal reporting, ensuring best use of resources, reviewing high-level deliverables, implementing new initiatives, ensuring projects are completed to agreed timeframes, inspecting projects, recruiting, training and mentoring staff; and more. ABOUT YOU: The successful candidate will have experience as a Project Manager, preferably within a similar joinery-related industry in New Zealand. You will be analytical with an eye for detail and risk, have excellent financial knowledge and communication skills, have impeccable time management and the ability to optimise systems and processes and deliver significant cost saving and efficiency gains to the business. You will know how to be firm but fair, possess diplomacy and emotional intelligence, and have a positive go-getter attitude.
