Shorecare Urgent Care are on the lookout for two friendly, highly motivated, and compassionate Medical Receptionists to join our team in mid January, 2025.
Who are we?
Shorecare are proud to have been caring for the North Shore and Rodney community for over 50 years. We specialise in injuries and illnesses that require urgent attention ensuring that patients can access healthcare when they need it. Shorecare operates two walk-in clinics, both open 7 days a week year-round, Greville Road 8am-8pm, and Smales Farm 24 hours. We have a strong focus on building a team of like-minded, patient focused individuals who want to make a positive impact on the community.
Why you?
Ideally, you'll have previous reception experience in a medical setting using Medtech 32 or Evolution, but regardless we'll provide you with full training.
Working with medical records, you've got to have an eagle eye for details and be able to input data quickly to keep up with our busy clinics.
You can multi task with the best of them and handle whatever curveballs the day throws your way.
No two days are the same here at Shorecare so having the ability to use initiative and be a quick thinker is critical.
You're a people person. As our first and last point of contact with our patients, you'll be comfortable speaking with a wide range of individuals providing top notch customer service.
Medical centres can be daunting and stressful so your ability to show compassion and empathy, be it with our patients or a team member, is vital.
You'll be confident working independently across a variety of hours, such as day shifts, evenings (including up to midnight), and some weekends.
You'll have great resilience. In an urgent care clinic we know that you'll be faced with some challenging situations, but our team are here to support you at all times. The ability to speak Mandarin would be an advantage however not essential.
The role:- Meeting and greeting patients
- Data entry
- Answering phone calls
- Invoicing and taking payments
- Working closely alongside our clinical team
- Working across different shift times (day shifts, evenings and some weekend work) across both clinics. Some shifts commence from 7am and some finish at midnight
This role is part time working on average 26 hours per week over a 4 week roster. We do require flexibility to cover extra shifts such as holidays and sickness.
Remuneration will be aligned with the skills and experience you bring to the role. Penal rates apply for evenings and weekends.
If you think you'd be a great fit for the Shorecare reception team, please apply now through our online application form. We'd love to meet you.
Please note: applicants for this role must be vaccinated.
