Are you a detail-oriented and organised professional with strong administrative skills, preferably gained in a medical setting?
NZRSI is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our laboratory. This role is pivotal in ensuring that clinical and administrative activities run seamlessly. While the position does not involve direct patient contact, your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:- Operational Support: Prepare and maintain diagnostic equipment, ensure hygiene protocols are upheld, and oversee equipment turnover for various laboratories.
- Equipment Management: Conduct routine checks, troubleshoot faults, and ensure consumables and spare parts are well-stocked.
- Stock and Inventory: Manage weekly stock orders, perform monthly stocktakes, and restock consumables and paperwork.
- Administrative Support: Maintain detailed logs, perform data entry, update patient details in administrative systems, and provide general administrative assistance.
- Health and Safety: Comply with health and safety protocols and help maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical team to meet operational and logistical requirements.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills and Experience:- Excellent administrative skills, preferably gained in a medical setting.
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management processes.
Desirable Skills and Experience:- Previous experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Exposure to diagnostic or medical equipment maintenance.
