    Position specifics:

    • Our growing business requires an Automotive Mechanic who is reliable, driven and a team player who will slot into our vibrant crew. If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!
    • This position is based at our Avalon Branch in Lower Hutt and involves local area travel in a supplied vehicle attending the premises of our customers.
    • You will be employed on a minimum 45 hours per week basis.
    About the role

    You will be part of a large team performing a variety of jobs onsite and offsite. This includes preventative maintenance, breakdowns, general repairs, troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on a large Rental and Retail Fleet. This includes Forklifts (Internal Combustion & Battery Electric), Golf Carts, Scissor Lifts, Trucks and Construction Equipment and therefore the following attributes will be favourable:
    • Either trade certified or five years plus experience with Material Handling Equipment, Auto Electrical, Diesel, Motor Mechanic or Hydraulics.
    • Full NZ Class 1 & 2 driver's license and clean driving record is a must.
    • Appropriate licenses for heavy trucks, construction equipment, WTR and forklifts.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good customer service skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to stay on task and see a job through to completion.
