Manukau Toyota Group is New Zealand's largest Toyota dealer and the efforts and dedication of our Team Members is a huge part of that. We have been servicing Auckland's South and Eastern communities for more than 30 years.
We are proudly family-owned with stores in Botany, Manukau, Papakura and Pukekohe. We also operate two Bridgestone Tyre shops - one next to Papakura Toyota and one in the Botany Toyota Service Centre.
We are looking for a new Team Member to join our Finance and Administration department to support our financial accounting functions, month-end duties, and transactional processing. You'll also have the opportunity to take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of our finance team.
This is a fixed term contract - 12 months (potential to go permanent).
Responsibilities will include:- Month-End Reconciliation: Process month-end journals, reconcile bank and supplier accounts, and manage vehicle and deposit account balances.
- Toyota Transactions: Process and reconcile weekly tax invoices for warranty, agency, direct delivery, and rentals.
- Daily Operations: Handle miscellaneous payments, support Accounts Payable with invoice processing.
- Backup Duties: Support daily TNZ payments, EFTPOS reconciliation and invoice processing.
So, this is what we are looking for:- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong reconciliation skills, intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail, positive 'can do' attitude, and ability to manage high volumes with accuracy. Excellent prioritization and time management skills are essential.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt based on feedback.
- Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous
