About the Role:
The COO will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for overseeing our vehicle sales (including fleet), service, parts and accessories, and finance and insurance operations. This executive role is vital in shaping our business strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and mentoring our team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Individual Portfolios:- Lead and oversee the vehicle sales, service, parts and accessories, and finance and insurance departments.
Executive Responsibilities:- Develop and implement business strategies, setting the strategic direction for the organisation.
- Serve on the Governance Committee to make informed decisions regarding business strategy and performance.
- Ensure effective planning and processes are in place to monitor and report on strategic objectives.
Expectations of Executives:- Lead, develop, and mentor all team members, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
- Anticipate and respond to market trends, business objectives, and opportunities for innovation.
- Communicate the company's values, policies, and strategic objectives effectively.
- Manage workload and performance for both self and team members, ensuring balance and productivity.
Core Responsibilities:- Drive operational excellence within individual portfolios to enhance performance, productivity, and profitability.
- Support the CEO in providing effective leadership and vision for the company.
- Develop company goals and implementation strategies to promote growth and performance.
Key Attributes:- The candidate has extensive experience in senior leadership roles, including as a COO, with a focus on diverse business operations. Their ability to think strategically enables them to foresee challenges, recognise opportunities, and craft innovative solutions.
- They must excel in communication and interpersonal relationships, particularly in managing teams and fostering collaboration.
- They should have a deep understanding of sales and aftersales operations.
- Their financial expertise includes budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
