We are seeking a self-motivated, detail focused, excellent communicator, experienced quantity surveyor to join our small team based in Takanini.

Job Description
We are entering an exciting growth phase; this is a newly created role providing opportunity for you to come in and stamp your mark. You will be the sole QS working on projects from initial estimates through to roof completion to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Being a newly created role, we are looking for someone who is IT savvy that can drive system implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotes for roofing residential and commercial projects by examining drawings and specifications
- Prepare tender packages and contracts
- Monitor project schedules, variations, and scope changes
- Managing financial and contractual issues on projects
- Attending pre let and contract negotiation meetings
- Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
- Subcontractor payment claim assessments
- Briefing Operations Manager and Project Managers on project costings, inclusions and exclusions
- Build strong relationships and have regular and effective communication with clients, subcontractors, customers, suppliers and staff
Skills Required:- 5 + years experience as a quantity surveyor within the NZ roofing industry
- Attention to detail and precision to every task
- Excellent communicator with a relationship focused personality and able to liaise effectively with stakeholders
- Strong project management, financial management and reporting skills
- Excellent computer skills in everything Microsoft as well as Take Off and Project Management softwares
- Must be proactive and solutions oriented
- Ability to drive and deliver profitable projects within budget
- An enthusiastic team player who can fit in easily and add-value to our business
