    Position Overview: Our Carterton branch is seeking a motivated Key Account Manager to drive sales growth and manage key relationships within our trade customer segment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the timber and hardware industry, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role is critical to our business, as you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, meeting revenue targets, and ensuring our key accounts receive exceptional service.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with key trade customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Sales Growth: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the trade sector.
    • Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to understand their business needs, offering tailored solutions that align with our product offerings.
    • Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to inform sales strategies.
    • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the sales team, procurement, and operations to ensure seamless service delivery to customers.
    • Reporting: Monitor sales performance, provide regular reports to management, and suggest improvements based on data insights.
    • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product range, staying informed about new products and industry developments.
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in a sales role within the timber, hardware, or construction industry.
    • Strong understanding of the trade customer segment and its specific needs.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
