Marsden Cove Marine, Northland's newest and fastest-growing Volvo Penta Agency, is looking for a skilled Marine Mechanic/Technician/Engineer to join our friendly, professional, and energetic team. About the Role
As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for:- Installing drive line and electrical equipment.
- Maintaining and servicing inboard petrol and diesel systems, as well as outboards.
- Conducting routine engine servicing and maintenance on a variety of modern marine engines.
- Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, and repairing marine systems across vessels.
- Performing hands-on work both in our workshop and on-site as required.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking for a reliable, Trade Qualified Marine Technician or Automotive/Diesel Mechanic. Experience in the trailer or white boat industry is a plus, but we're also keen to hear from other experienced automotive tradespeople ready to dive into this exciting role.
Key skills and attributes include:- Expertise in servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing marine propulsion systems and generators.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing electrics and accessories.
- Confidence with parts identification.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A clean driver's license.
- Strong, confident communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A methodical, disciplined approach to your work.
- A clean and tidy appearance that reflects our professional standards.
- Self-motivation and the ability to take full ownership of your tasks, ensuring they're completed to the highest standard.
